Alumni, parents and friends sustain Baylor university through gifts to endowment. Through the Give Light Campaign, the Baylor Family’s generous support of endowment provides reliable resources that create the opportunities, experiences and fund the faculty and staff to provide transformational experiences and exciting academic discovery at Baylor.

Playing with a Vision
Most fans know Flo Thamba – or at least, they know him as a 6'10" forward on the Baylor University Men’s Basketball team, hoisting the National Championship trophy as confetti rained down in Indianapolis in 2021. But, Flo cannot be summed up in one shining moment. He cannot be defined by just one thing.
Founded on Heritage and Love
For Laura Beth Cotton (BA ’75), of Midland, Texas, establishing a scholarship at Baylor University offered a chance to honor her family’s legacy, while also celebrating the ties of friendship that bind her to her alma mater. In 2022, Cotton established an endowed scholarship to support the School of Education.

Opening Doors, Inspiring Artists
In honor of the School of Music’s 100-year anniversary, the Meadows Foundation Lyceum Series brings world-renowned artists and professionals to campus, creating a virtual celebration during a worldwide pandemic.
C. Gus Glasscock, Jr. Endowed Fund for Excellence in Environmental Sciences
Since 2005, the Glasscock Endowment has provided funding for more than 120 undergraduate students who are conducting research in environmental sciences.

In 2021, as Student Foundation marked their half-centenary, they also celebrated an even greater milestone: $5 million raised for scholarship endowment.
Inspiring Faithful Leadership
Jon Eckert, Ed.D., came to Baylor from Wheaton College after the creation of the Copple Chair from a $2.5 million gift from Lynda and Robert Copple of Frisco, Texas, in 2017. The gift also provided resources to fund the Chair's research.
