Memorial and Alexander Halls
The $48 million capital project will locate the Honors College across both sides of beautiful, historic Founders Mall, doing so through two major project elements.
The project will involve the renovation and expansion of two of the University’s oldest residential halls: Alexander and Memorial Halls. Currently connected by Memorial Dining Hall, the two buildings will be further connected by a series of highly visible lobbies, lounges and common rooms.
As part of its deferred maintenance plan, the University will fund $35 million of this work.
*Note: project is in conceptual stage and does not yet have final approvals.
Giving Opportunities
The Honors College is seeking members of the Baylor Family to consider a philanthropic gift to the project to help fund these additional spaces that will help to strengthen the community within the Honors Residential College. Naming opportunities range from $50,000 to $2 million and include:
- the atrium and lobby in Memorial Hall
- the atrium and lobby in Alexander Hall
- commons, classrooms and other spaces.
